Ghostop was invented by David Wirth, a contractor building high-end homes on Long Island, New York, after architects kept asking for a door stop that would hold a door open or closed with almost no clearance and stay out of sight. The GS300 mounts from the bottom jamb and the GS200 from the head or side jamb. Kits include the retracting-pin plate, a stainless steel or brass strike plate, magnet, screws and installation guide, in finishes from brushed stainless to oil-rubbed bronze, with a one-year mechanical and finish guarantee.
